Val has considerable experience working with clients across the public, private and voluntary sectors. Her main focus is on leadership, organisational development and change management and her clients are primarily chief executives, directors and senior managers. She is a qualified user of psychometric tests at Levels A and B including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and 16PF5.
Val has a particular interest in one to one and small group interventions including coaching, facilitation and action learning sets. Her aim is to ensure that her work with others brings about real and lasting change and helps organisations develop their effectiveness.
Val is a tutor at the Leadership Trust, one of the leading centres for leadership development in the UK.
Examples of recent projects
- Leadership development programme for production managers within a global contact lens manufacturer to improve their effectiveness as individuals and to raise their profile as a group
- Facilitating an action learning set for deputy directors of finance within the NHS seeking to become directors
- Acting as internal consultant within Canterbury Christ Church University to support the delivery of the organisational development agenda, including coaching, facilitating away days and developing a leadership profile for heads of department
- Coaching chief executives, directors and senior managers on a range of issues including conflict resolution, career development and promotion to a new role
