Brigid has over ten years’ consultancy experience of working with teams and leaders in public and private sector organisations across the UK to improve organisational, team and personal effectiveness.  She lives in Scotland and is based in CLMD’s Glasgow office.

She is passionate about the impact of coaching and action learning in developing and enabling individuals to realise their potential.   She has a post-graduate diploma in coaching awarded by the Institute of Leadership & Management and accredited by the European Council of Coaching & Mentoring.  She is committed to her continuing professional development as a coach.

She is particularly experienced in working with teams to facilitate the translation of strategic objectives into practical operational plans.  She is able to draw on her previous experience as a management consultant and as an operational manager in the NHS to make sense of complex organisational issues.

Examples of her coaching and consulting work include:

  1. Career and personal development coaching for senior leaders in health and social services in Scotland.
  2. Being an observer or assessor in a number of development and assessment centres, including the provision of detailed developmental feedback to participants.
  3. Review and development of a researched leadership competency model for use in a senior leadership development programme.
  4. Design and delivery of a structured ‘action research’ project exploring the impact of leadership development in a client organisation.
  5. Design and delivery of tailored development workshops on areas including:  influencing, developing assertiveness, exploring work-life balance, managing change, and effective report-writing.
