Research & Evaluation
Salomons Research
Our research projects are tailor-made to clients' requirements and are designed to support an organisational development agenda. As part of a university, our methods are robust and we have expertise and experience in a wide range of different techniques, yet we have a pragmatic approach that focuses on improving practice and draws on our understanding of leadership, management and organisational development.
All our research is confidential to you, the client and our style is to work with you to ensure you have ownership of your project and are engaged throughout. We will share our research findings in an open and honest way and provide you with the support you need to take forward actions.
Evaluation
Evaluation is a critical element of a development intervention yet one that is often overlooked in the drive to move on to the next initiative. Yet without evaluation how do you know that your investment was cost effective and that it delivered the outcomes you wanted? In short, how do you know what difference it made?
Robust evaluation identifies what impact the intervention has had and will identify key lessons and learning. Most importantly, it should inform decision making about future activity.
Thorough evaluation goes beyond the reactions of the participants to include other stakeholders who will have a view about the impact on them. It looks at expectations and outcomes and how learning has been applied at work and explores some of the underlying reasons. An effective evaluation will enable good quality decisions to be made about future investment.
We have considerable experience in conducting evaluations for clients. We work with you to understand your requirements and design a process that meets your needs.
